Art can be defined as the freedom of expression, but the limits are never defined. Even the term "versatile artist" has its four corners. Tyler R. Norris is an enigma for his ability to unapologetically convey himself through several mediums. As a result of pure curiosity to explore the realms of musical and visual arts, the innate drive to challenge himself, and an array of different styles unfurled into the artists hands.

Tyler's creative journey started within the first few years of his life being non-verbal. After going through proper tests and treatments he was diagnosed with CAPD (Central Auditory Processing Disorder), a form of Autism that affects how the brain processes verbal information. However, that did not stop him from finding ways to override his learning experience with his eyes and hands. With technology becoming more accessible at home and on the rise during the 90's, he was able to operate and navigate through the Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems better than most adults at the age of 4. Several years of speech therapy and attending special education classes later his disorder became manageable. However this dampened his ability to socialize, making friendships and maintaining relationships frustrating and overall near impossible. With a barrier too high to cross, he turned to a medium in which felt the most relatable form of communication and self expression; Art and music.

A longtime fan of cartoons, video games, comic strips, and any form of musical composition is what fueled Tyler's creativity. His genuine fascination in being immersed into a space beyond reality sparked a journey of no return. Self taught within traditional/digital media and multiple musical instruments were to follow many adolescent and adult years later. Within those same years, he stumbled upon the local underground music scene, finding a community who would not only be supportive of his endeavors but to accept him unconditionally for who he was. From joining bands and making music to illustrating merch designs, flyers for shows, shooting live photography, and audio engineering at his home studio, he adopted the true DIY mentality. This was his calling to pursue art with his entire being, and to do away with being forced to conform into societal demands that once rejected him.

Today he still lives in New Castle County, Delaware as a full time artist with multiple art and music projects in the works. Over the past few years he's been honing his abilities to specialize in traditional and digital paintings, illustrations, and animations of many different styles. With his range of thematics, he hopes to help others achieve an unforgettable moment to those who witness his creative outlets, and to lend a hand to those who have a similar experience with mental and learning dissabilites.
